Remembering Fred Imus
Please share your thoughts and memories of Fred Imus, who passed away August 6 at the age of 69
I keep reading all the beautiful condolences that people are writing about how much a part of their lives were effected by listening to him over the years.
The Imus Ranch Foundation was formed to donate 100% of all donations previously devoted to The Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer to various other charities whose work and missions compliment those of the ranch. The initial donation from The Imus Ranch Foundation was awarded to Tackle Kids Cancer, a program of The HackensackUMC Foundation and the New York Giants.

Children’s Health Defense joins parents of vaccine-injured children and advocates for health freedom in remembering the life of Don Imus, a media maverick in taking on uncomfortable topics that most in the mainstream press avoid or shut down altogether. His commitment to airing all sides of controversial issues became apparent to the autism community in 2005 and 2006 as the Combating Autism Act (CAA) was being discussed in Congress. The Act, which was ultimately signed into law by George W. Bush in December of 2006, created unprecedented friction among parents of vaccine-injured children and members of Congress; parents insisted that part of the bill’s billion-dollar funding be directed towards environmental causes of autism including vaccines, while most U.S. Senators and Representatives tried to sweep any such connections under the rug.
Don Imus, Divisive Radio Shock Jock Pioneer, Dead at 79 - Imus in the Morning host earned legions of fans with boundary-pushing humor, though multiple accusations of racism and sexism followed him throughout his career By Kory Grow RollingStone
Don Imus Leaves a Trail of Way More Than Dust
By Michael Riedel - The one and only time I had a twinge of nerves before appearing on television was when I made my debut in 2011 on “Imus in the Morning” on the Fox Business Channel. I’d been listening to Don Imus, who died Friday at 79, since the 1990s as an antidote the serious (bordering on the pompous) hosts on National Public Radio. I always thought it would be fun to join Imus and his gang — news anchor Charles McCord, producer Bernard McGuirk, comedian Rob Bartlett — in the studio, flinging insults back and forth at one another. And now I had my chance. I was invited on to discuss to discuss “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark,” the catastrophic Broadway musical that injured cast members daily.

Dear Fred,
I hope Heaven is full of good horses and dogs and some great old cars for you to drive. "Imus in the Morning" won't be the same without your wit and droll humor. You did everyone proud.
God bless your good soul,
Nancy and Max Robertson in Vancouver WA
I don't laugh easily. Fred made me laugh.
My deepest condolences to the entire Imus family... A long-time fan of Imus In the Morning, Fred is part of the family and he will be sincerely missed... I looked forward to his appearances and loved each one over the years... I cannot imagine the depth of the loss to you and Fred's family... I am truly heartbroken... My favorite part of each segment was always the ending, with both Fred and Don telling each other they loved each other, and Don saying he'd call Fred later... You just knew, in that minute, they'd been through a lifetime together and the bond was forever there no matter what... I love you all... Just by being there, you are all part of my extended family and I extend my love and prayers for grace during this acute time of loss... Rest in peace, dear, dear Fred... You will always be loved; you will forever be missed, and I feel certain, forever remembered and honored by your family... I am hoping for a special memorial fund set up to forever honor your contribution to the Imus Ranch... I would like to be involved... With great affection... Terry Ince
To the Imus family,
Years back, we lived in the same trailer park with Fred and saw Don visit him often. We always let them have their privacy, but THEY knew WE knew who they were. We just wanted to say we'll miss our old neighbor and that our prayers are with the Imus family. God Bless.

Mr. Don Imus,
Many of us wait until our loved ones are gone to tell them that we love them, but you told Fred Imus every time--
before you hung up. May he have peace...
I-Man,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss, please pass my condolences to the entire Family.
I truly enjoyed when Fred would call-in, he always made me laugh out loud when you would tease him. He was a real cowboy, tell it like it is/was no sugar coating. .
I wish that there was something to say that can help in these times, my only hope is that you celebrate Fred's life and cherrish the time you had. I think that life gives us wake-up calls, to remember to tell the ones cloeset to us that "we love them".
Please take care of yourself and the Family, and get well….
We love having you join us for breakfast every morning.
Fred, RIP and I hope you’re working a Big Ranch.
Sincerely,
Michael A (Austin, TX)
Fred was a real Funny Guy. I used to look foward to His Appearences. I listened to Him on Outlaw Country He like the Iman had a great Ear for Music. RIP Fred.
Fred was a good man that will be missed... May he rest in peace. Biggest laugh I ever had was when Fred lost a fruit - I will always have fond memories of him.
Dear Don and family:
We are long time fans and were so sad to hear about Fred. Having him appear on your show was always such a treat. He was a
hoot of a guy and so real. But, the best part was how you two always said good-by to each other. It was so sweet and endearing to hear two old cowboy brothers say they love each other. Take heart, Don, and God bless Fred.
RIP Fred. We love you !

Fred will be missed by millions.
Fred always added more to an already enjoyable show with Don Imus and his family. He will be missed.
Only knew Fred from the times he offered his western wisdom on the Don Imus Morning TV Show. His Will Rogers type of wisdom will be sadly missed by all of his viewing fans of which I am happy to say I was one of them. Rest in Peace upstairs Fred with your pets you had over the years.
Truly sadded by the news of your Brother's passing. Your rapport with him was amazing & we enjoyed when he was on your show.
