Anthony Cumia Bio
As a talk radio host for over twenty years, Anthony Cumia built an incredibly successful career on being outspoken and outrageous. As the co-founder and co-host of The Opie and Anthony Show, Cumia’s style of humor and talk was syndicated nationally and internationally on terrestrial and satellite radio. Today, he continues to spark thoughtful, provocative and important conversations as the uncensored host of The Anthony Cumia Show, an online broadcast delivered in video and audio formats to subscribers.
Cumia’s career on the air began while he was working as a “tin knocker” installing air conditioning and heating systems and performing music in a local band. He earned his spot on the radio after entering a song parody contest launched by his former radio partner. Besides his knowledge of music and hot topics, Cumia also became known for his celebrity impressions. To this day he channels the voices of talk show hosts, Larry King and Alex Jones (both have been guests of the program), comedian Andrew “Dice” Clay (also a guest), Fmr. Governor/professional wrestler Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Bill Cosby and others so they may comment on day’s hot topics.
Outside of radio, Cumia has appeared as a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He has been on various podcasts including Kevin Pollack’s Chat Show, The Joe Rogan Experience, Free Speech with Gavin McInness and The Adam Carolla Show. Cumia is a frequent contributor to Fox News Channel’s Red Eye and Kennedy on Fox Business. Other credits include the television shows, Louie and Inside Amy Schumer, Chris Rock’s feature film, Top Five, Rich Vos’ Women Aren’t Funny and Kevin Pollack’s Misery Loves Comedy.
Cumia also has lent his voiceover talents to several video games including the Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto series.
The Anthony Cumia Show streams live from the midtown Manhattan studio Cumia and his team built — Monday through Thursday 4:00-6:00 p.m.
