One of Bo Dietl's More Cogent Interviews
Bo Dietl's mind works in mysterious ways, and rarely was that more evident this morning, as he clumsily jumped from topics like a new world government and women's rights in Somalia, to the movie Amelia and the incarcerated Bernard Kerik.
An concerned but coherent Bo Dietl brought to Imus's attention something called the New World Government, which he said would meet soon in Copenhagen to discuss "reparations" that countries like the U.S. would pay to Third World countries.
"If it passes, they will null and void our own constitution!" Bo wailed, as the I-Man giggled.
"This all came about with the last Vice President, Igor, Gore, whatever his name was," said Bo, shifting wildly into new territory. "They make this big baloney about global warming. Real scientists have figured out it's all a bunch of nonsense."
Imus calmly explained that global warming does not necessarily mean rising temperatures, but rather is indicative of climate change in general. Bo responded about snow in New Jersey in October, and then turned several shades of purple.
He shared a news story about a woman in Somalia who was lashed for wearing a bra, because, you know, Bo is such a feminist. As such, next on his agenda this morning was the movie Amelia, which he called a "nice movie to see."
"I think she was playing both sides of the road," Bo said about the movie's main character, famed aviator Amelia Earhart. "I'm not saying it's bad. But she was married, and she was pound-i-tating another guy."
A friend of Bo's has acquired a "submarine," to search for the wreckage of Earhart's plane that went down over the Pacific Ocean in 1937. He expounded on the theory that Earhart ditched into the water when she ran out of fuel.
"They had a navigator on there who was a drunk," said Bo. "It got a little cloudy, so he wasn't looking at no more stars. Amelia ran out of gas and took the pipe with him!"
He then called her "the original cougar," and defined the term for Imus, who knows what it means. "A cougar is an older woman sniffing around a younger guy." Thanks, Bo.
On the subject of former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik, who is being held in jail while he awaits trial in Westchester County stemming from charges he underpaid for work on his Bronx apartment, Bo said Kerik should be allowed to stay out on bail.
"If he did bad, convict him and make him go to jail, but don't do this before he is tried and before he is sentenced," said Bo, who accidentally said Bernard McGuirk instead of Bernark Kerik, and blamed it on their proximity in his cell phone.
"But I can't call Bernie Kerik now," Bo said sadly. "He's in freakin' jail!"
