The Imus Ranch Foundation was formed to donate 100% of all donations previously devoted to The Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer to various other charities whose work and missions compliment those of the ranch. The initial donation from The Imus Ranch Foundation was awarded to Tackle Kids Cancer, a program of The HackensackUMC Foundation and the New York Giants.

Don Imus Leaves a Trail of Way More Than Dust
By Michael Riedel - The one and only time I had a twinge of nerves before appearing on television was when I made my debut in 2011 on “Imus in the Morning” on the Fox Business Channel. I’d been listening to Don Imus, who died Friday at 79, since the 1990s as an antidote the serious (bordering on the pompous) hosts on National Public Radio. I always thought it would be fun to join Imus and his gang — news anchor Charles McCord, producer Bernard McGuirk, comedian Rob Bartlett — in the studio, flinging insults back and forth at one another. And now I had my chance. I was invited on to discuss to discuss “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark,” the catastrophic Broadway musical that injured cast members daily.
Imus asked Doug Stanton, author of the book "Horse Soldiers" about the successful Special Forces mission in Afghanistan in 2001, what the endgame is now in that country, where last week the United States launched a major offensive on Taliban-held towns.
Doug Stanton Shepard Smith hosts The Fox Report every night at 7pm on the Fox News Channel, and has been number one in that time slot for more than eight years, which Smith himself admitted is "disgusting." Actually, it's unbelievable, given Smith's taste in music. Smith loves hosting The Fox Report, he said, because they don't do opinion. "I got nothing against opinions; everyone should have one," he said. "But I like that there’s one hour where we just do the news."
Shepard Smith Ever the patriot, Bo Dietl wished everybody a "Happy Veterans Presidents Day," and sent Godspeed to all American troops fighting in Afghanistan. Bo then extolled the virtues of this country's first President as only he can. "The greatest American ever born was this man George Washington," said Bo. "He was involved in every battle. When his troops abandoned him, he was there in winters where they had to wrap rags around their feet in snow that was a foot-and-a-half deep."
Bo Dietl Far be it from Imus to cause any problems, but why would Vanity Fair release the book "Vanity Fair’s Presidential Profiles" and include historian Douglas Brinkley as an editor but not a writer? "Don, they couldn't afford me," Brinkley joked. While his words were not included, Brinkley assured the I-man that his eyeballs were part of the project, which was difficult to put together.
Imus led into this morning's interview with Carl Jeffers's by playing a Frank Sinatra song, one of Jeffers's favorites. But Imus made sure to indicate he had done so under duress, though he likes Sinatra's songs "Cycles," which, when it was released as a 45, was on the flip side of Sinatra's hit song "My Way." "'My Way' is not at the top of my list," said Jeffers. "But in the late 60s, Sinatra had some great arrangements."
